The GEO audit

Twenty-two checks on whether an assistant can read and trust your site

What it checks

The audit reads your website the way an assistant does and reports twenty-two checks in four groups: whether your pages can be fetched and read at all, whether the content answers the questions buyers ask, whether your identity and claims are stated in a form a model can quote, and whether anything blocks AI crawlers outright.

Each check comes back with a verdict and the evidence behind it — the actual line from your robots.txt, the heading that is missing, the page that returned an error.

Why it is separate from visibility

Visibility measures the answers. The audit measures the input. A brand can be invisible for two completely different reasons:

  • Nobody writes about you — the sources the models read do not mention you. That is fixed off-site, through placements and coverage.
  • You cannot be read — your own pages are blocked, render client-side into nothing, or say nothing quotable. That is fixed on your site, usually in an afternoon.

The audit tells you which of the two you have. Running it before spending money on the first one is the cheaper order.

Cost

An audit costs 8 credits plus the pages it samples. The fixed part covers what does not depend on your site size: robots.txt, the homepage fetched twice (raw and rendered), up to three sitemaps, and one search query.

How often to run it

After changes, not on a schedule. The audit describes a state, and the state only moves when you move it.
