Questions and topics
Choosing what to track, and why brand-name questions are a trap
Track the question, not your name
The questions worth tracking are the ones a buyer asks before they know you exist: best project management tool for agencies, cheapest business account in Poland, alternatives to Salesforce.
Tracking your own brand name mostly measures whether the assistant knows you — which is useful once, as a reputation check, and then stays flat. Two or three brand questions are worth a slot. Twenty are twenty slots spent on a number that will not move.
Topics
Topics group questions by the subject a buyer is researching, so you can see that you are strong on pricing questions and absent from integrations ones. That split is usually where the work is: a missing topic is a page you have not written.
Scorra proposes topics by reading your site, and you can rename, merge or add them.
Intent
Each question is tagged by intent — informational, commercial, comparison, brand. Comparison questions are where competitors show up most, and where a single listicle you do not appear in can cost you the whole topic.
Slots and archiving
Your plan caps how many questions are active at once — 50 on Starter, 150 on Growth. Only active questions generate queries and cost anything.
Turning a question off frees the slot and keeps everything it measured. Nothing is deleted, so you can put a seasonal question back next year and still see last year next to it.
